Breaking: Anna Wintour is stepping down as Editor in Chief of Vogue US
Well, what should I say.
You know it’s that kind of news when even my extremely fashion-uninvolved dad emailed me the Forbes article of Anna Wintour stepping down as Editor-in-Chief of Vogue US. Am I shocked?
Kind of. But also… not really?
She's still clinging to her throne as Chief Everything Officer of Condé Nast (aka Global Editorial Director + Artistic Director + probably controlling which brand of heels you wear to the office), but the Vogue US title? Gone.
So still. Big change ahead.
Who will take over and follow into her insanely big footsteps? And who’s going to land the first cover under the “New Editor” era?
Will it be a fresh face or someone who already knows how to survive Fashion Week without crying in the bathroom?
How long will they last? (Because let’s be honest, following Anna is no easy gig.)
So many questions. At least in my head.
Let’s be real—she’s no saint (unless the church has started canonizing people for strategic silence and legendary side-eyes). But credit where it’s due: the woman gave us some truly iconic, culture-shifting covers. Like it or not, her impact is stitched into the fabric of fashion history.
End of an era? Maybe.
A plot twist? Definitely.
Be ensured, I’m watching this one closely, with popcorn in hand and a dramatic pair of black sunglasses, obviously.
Also what else is new:
Finished my bachelor thesis
Still have exams to pass

That’s all (see what I did there)
Cheers to a great summer
